There are numerous administrative jobs available to Air Force recruits. From office work to planning and personnel management, administrative workers are responsible for keeping the Air Force operating efficiently.

Job Duties
Air Force recruits with an interest in administrative work have a variety of career opportunities available to them. An Air Force employee has many different career options when it comes to business and administrative management. Air Force jobs can be found in logistics plans, traffic management, and personnel. The Air Force offers a multitude of options depending on your interest and aptitude. Administrative experience obtained through service in the Air Force is directly applicable to the private job market. Veterans will be able to find work in practically any business or office setting after completion of Air Force service.

Administrative workers in the Air Force will receive training on computers, recordkeeping, filing, and a number of other areas depending on specialization. The job duties of an administrative worker include completing paperwork, maintaining records, sending correspondence, and communicating through the chain of command. Air Force administrative personnel may even have to engage in accounting or other financial activities. Recruits are able to choose an administrative specialization during the application process. Job Qualifications and Compensation
Those seeking employment with the U.S. Air Force must first meet basic requirements concerning age, citizenship, education, health, aptitude, and criminal history. The Air Force is always looking to hire able-bodied applicants who meet the basic qualifications outlined by the armed forces. In order to qualify for administrative work in the Air Force, recruits must obtain satisfactory scores on the following sections of the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test: numerical operations, coding speed, and verbal expression. An interest and basic organizational skills are all that you to seek out work under an administrative Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC). The Air Force will provide the bulk of administrative and clerical training for suitable recruits.

Compensation will vary based on rank and years of service with the Air Force. Employees of the U.S. Air Force receive competitive pay and benefits packages containing a number of financial and health perks. Even entry-level workers in the Air Force are eligible for benefits in addition to regular salary.
