Marine Corps Technical Job

The U.S. Marine Corps is hiring entry-level workers in a variety of positions. USMC associates are needed to fill general technical positions now. General technical soldiers will perform a variety of duties from combat technical positions to weather observation. New Marine hires, or recruits, must earn good scores on certain parts of the military career test, or ASVAB, to receive training for specific general technical careers.

Job Duties
General technical USMC workers must perform all the duties assigned by a commanding officer, follow the chain of command, and carry out orders. General technical positions are often filled by experienced or educated workers, but entry-level applicants with promising ASVAB scores will receive training, as well. Available careers may include combat specialists, such as riflemen, reconnaissance personnel, and machine gunners, as well as air traffic controllers, military police, and corrections specialists.

The job duties assigned Marine general technical worker may include work on amphibious assault vehicles, combat photography and videography, air traffic control, aerial navigation, and military police work. Many general technical Marines may cross-train to perform additional jobs if needed. All Marines receive similar combat training and specialized career training to ensure each Marine functions properly within their field and during times of war. Do not associate peaceful times with easy work, however. Each general technical Marine performs an important duty both at home and in the field.

Job Qualifications and Compensation
USMC applicants must meet the U.S. military standards for age, health, criminal record, education, and citizenship to receive employment consideration. Once recruited, marines must take the ASVAB test to determine the career path they are most suited for. Marine general technical government employees must receive good ASVAB scores in a variety of test sections, but most careers require high scores in verbal expression and arithmetic reasoning.

Marine Corps pay scales differ depending on rank and years served, but even entry-level USMC recruits earn competitive pay and receive benefits. Marines receive healthcare, lodging, food, vacation, and much more for serving their country. Begin the application process to become a Marine and speak with a recruiter to start your military career today. Apply online with the USMC and receive the salary and benefits a hero deserves.
