If you train me and give me time to study. I can easily pass those examinations.

I consider an implant but I do not want to use my own money. I want to use my income from work and pay installment. That is the reason I did not work after I left Queensborough Community College. I dare to apply because last week I saw one guy who appeared on CNN had a missing front tooth.
Since I have had missing front teeth I won’t go out and have food in the public place for long time. Now I do not care. If anyone do not like me because of my missing front teeth. I won’t miss that person.

August 15th, 2011 at 9:27 pmIf I were working for you and suppose I have only one day off. Would you so kind to give any day but not Thursday. Because my primary physician is off Thursday.
My health history I only take two pills a day; one Pravastatin Sodium 20 mg for lower bad cholesterol and one baby Aspirin 81 mg. I also take one Actionel 35 mg per week. I am healthier than I was working.
I exercise half an hour by myself. I have no pain. I walk straight than before. My body asks for exercise but not for painkilling pills. I do not drink or smoke.

English is the reason I have to go back to school. Because I have been living in New York so long, working with American, and speaking English at work and home. When I went home to visit my family in Thailand. My brother knew and told me that my Chinese is not good. I knew I can not hide my language barrier any more and I chose to stay here. Therefore, I have to study English well enough to help myself. I can not disturb my best friend’s children.
I know my English is not as good as any American. I still hope I can work in America.

I recalled my cousin’s husband used to say every situation every business can be prosperous or bankrupt. That means it is depending on each indiviual. I believe it is same like “Help yourself first, then God will help you”.

August 15th, 2011 at 8:44 pmWhen I stared my class at Queensborough Community college, i did not expect I will do well or I can skip one night sleep to catch my assignment. However, I did it many many time.
I believe my will power. I am weak so I cut down my social life to catch up my work. I feel bad if I can not be count on by my employer. I am not happy if I did not do a good job. I rather to please my boss than my colleagues. Therefore, I have only one good friend and her children who I can lean on. I am not mean but I am serious. I am generous but there is limited.
I am responsible for myself and my job. I am free from all the distractions. My mind is more clear than when I was young.
August 15th, 2011 at 9:00 pmThe King of Thailand is Buddhism, but he participates the other religion in Thailand. So do I.. I have no problem with other religion. I respect and believe their religion. But I won’t convert, I believe every religion teaches people to be good and nice with each other.
I am not a good cook. But I learn to cook healthy food for myself. I ate less meat. I wore nice and clean cloth. So my living cost is not that much like it used to. I am always happy. I do not compare with anyone. I want to learn and pick up the good things from others. That I told my classmates too.
Although I do not understand Cantonese but I have no problem with the residents in my building. I can communicate Mandarin or English with some of them. I like my apartment. The residents of my building are so quiet. My apartment windows are so big, I have a lot of sun shine and fresh air. I know where to buy good quality and reasonable price food. There are so convenient. I have no complain about. I only feel sorry for the unfortunate unemployed or earned not enough money for his or her family. I hope thing will get better soon.

I love to work indoor. I am not an outdoor person. I am more concentrate than before. I am more patience. I am not looking for any fight. I am looking to make peace with anyone anything. I believe in moral. I learn to be a good American citizen. I learned good thing from American and I also keep my good thing of Chinese and Thai.
By the way I forgot to let you know I am the first generation who was born and educated in Bangkok, Thailand. My grandfather and my mother raised me as a traditional Chinese. But I educated more Thai than Chinese. Because Thai government at that time did not want us to educate too much Chinese and became Communist.
August 15th, 2011 at 7:38 pmI spent almost five years as full time student in Queensborough Community College where i learned the real life of student. I was so luck I did not work all the time like the US students. My family afforded to pay workers to cook, clean and do laundry. I worked as tutor sometime to pay my personal thing, like jewelery. I understood the nature of American. Now I live like an American.
I get along with my classmates. I am willingly and sincerely showing them if they ask for help. My classmates like me. I encourage and inspire them to learn, so they can have more confidence to get a job. I treat them fair and equal. I see no color of them because they are very intelligent. Two of my classmates start a four months job today. We will meet at the end of this month. I feel the mighty empowerment from YWCA. I have more confidence than anytime in my life.

I also do not like to influence others to buy thing I like. But it any thing is useful I will explain the points until they believe and comfortable to buy. i am very slow in this area. I can say it is my weakness.
Another weakness is Whenever I start any new job or work I am slow and afraid make mistake. I might look very tired for the first month. My speed will be picking up. However, if I am lucky to have a good trainer, I am sure I have no problem to perform my duty.
The old Chinese saying “Work won’t kill people”. Because the more you worked the more you learned. So you enjoyed and did not feel tried.
August 15th, 2011 at 7:17 pmNow my hobby is Power Point. I love it and I observe from my computer or my friend’s television. There are a lot that I still do not know how to manipulate. I only learned for couple weeks. Whenever my instructor helped the other student, I watched and I can come up with more ideas. Maybe that is the reason make me enjoy Power Point.
For Word and Excel I do not so excite because of my slow typing. Every time I type I recall I am a slow and bad typist.. I am nervous instead of relaxing. My hands work slower than my brain. I understood the concepts of Words and Excel. I can not create anything from those like Power Point.

Most the bank customer were working people and retirees. Some were wealthy and some were struggle. That was the time for me to learn what kind of retiree I want to be. I learned about social security, 401k and pension. But I misunderstood about medicare. I thought if I were 65 years old. I do not have to co-pay my health insurance. I am wrong and I am paying my price. Most of my social security check goes to my co-pay health insurance. Plus the dividends were a lot less it used to be.
August 15th, 2011 at 6:48 pmHowever, I made peace with myself I cut down a lot of things. I am doing OK. I thank God because I live better than a lot of people. I only think to follow Ms. Rita Ghassen or others who contribute to this society if I have a chance. If I get the part time job I might go to any nearby school to teach math (up to juniro high) for free. If I do not get the part time job I will try to get the job from ReServe which will pay $10.00 per hour and I could work up to twenty hours per week.
How is the market doing today? I hope it is good. This morning the bank stock including yours (BK) are doing very well. Yours is from nineteen something last week to be twenty something. I heard tomorrow the stock might have a exciting day again because of the French Bank personal will meet with Prime Minister. I am waiting to buy our US Bank stock that I missed last week.
Are you going to hire me? I can not help to think about the investment. I believe the future of our investment. It is a stressful job. But it is also a very good return. I can not physical work hard. I can manipulate my brain. I mind my own business. I chose my own living.

Learning is making me excite. I remembered I have never missed school at Queensborough Community college. I also did not miss any training day at YWCA. I do disappointed at my bank job, but I always have the strength to go to work. My manager liked to talk with me about our bank stock or other investments. My co-workers were busy raising their family and the young ones were busy dating.I was the oldest one and busy prepare for retired.
August 15th, 2011 at 6:27 pmMs. Anne Alfred, the Senior Director of YWCA always say you have to invent yourself to get a job. At first I do not understand. Until I had a mock interview with Ms, Rita Ghassen. She did not make me feel shame to work as a teller for long long time. Instead she asked if I think about to work as a financial customer service. That woke me up. I told her at once that I used to call Charles Schwab, and when the customer service answered my phone. I said to myself I can do this job.
One more thing I want to make enough money to retire, that is the reason I have to take control of my own investment. I watch Channel 13 by setting my alarm clock to wake up at 4:00 A:M and then 6:00 A:M. I read New York Time and other investment news papers. I spent weekend read all the stock to observe how and which stock is doing. I went to my nearby library at lunch time or after finished working to read those newspaper. I listen to Adrain Berth (forgive me if I spell her name wrong). I watch the money program on Friday night at Channel 13.
August 15th, 2011 at 5:40 pmI think I am too old to handle the investment matter. Until this Wednesday, while I stayed at my friend’s house, she called me to watch and buy her certain stock. Then she asked me “How much share that I bought for myself?” I told her that I do not want to do any more. Suddenly I think I should be able to handle if I can not get a job. It is a way of making my own living.
This is another way to show you. I am able to be a customer service. I am happy to work this area.

August 15th, 2011 at 5:50 pmWhen I left Thai Farmer Bank to New York, Us. Thai Farmer Bank is going to public. I told myself I have to learn about the bank stock. It took me so long to enter the banking job.
It was in 1984-6 that my ex-husband picked up a lot of your bank employees. He wanted me to work at the bank.
Those matter motivated me to work even as a teller. Now I have been learning some thing and I believe I am qualified for the customer service position. Therefore, I apply for this position. I hope I do not take so much of your precious time . Thank you very much.

About my salary I have never known how much the bank paid for customer service. All I knew is the bank will pay the teller from $10.00-15.00.
In my opinion, I am sure I fit for customer service than others.

August 15th, 2011 at 5:05 pmMost of my day I look at my investment and if I stay at my good friend’s house I always watch CNN.
I believe I have too make my own decision. There are always many different opinions. I believe in long term investment than short term.
While I was working I do not afraid because I can buy more share from the same money. The only three times that I was so worry are:
1. The first Gulf War because the stock is downed so much and do not know when the war is going to finish.
2. 9/11/2001 I can not imagine what is going next? My Manager told me the stock is going to be nothing.
3. 2008 My bank stock downed from almost $40.00 to be $8.00.
Now I am strong enough to work and know how to save money. I won’t worry. But I am studying everyday. I think this good for my brain.
August 15th, 2011 at 5:17 pmI moved to my low income co-op last April. After i joined the community room for art and craft from the senior Chinese citizen. I felt I am too young for that. My deep thought is always looking for a part time job. When I saw the advertising of YWCA about computer training. I am so happy. I am more happier when I learned from Mrs. Farmer about “Women’s Empowerment Network” which is offering a six-week Computer and Career Development Training and it is free. I asked for joining this program. That is reason I dare to apply to work at your bank which I dare not apply for twenty years ago.
I am not good to sell but I am very patience to explain any product. Before I applied I email to ask Miss Jenny who is the girl I stayed with her family before she was born. She told me I have a good telephone voice. She offered to train me if I get the job and need help.

I used to worked at Home Federal Bank which merged with North Fork Bank and Now became Capital one, from 1987-2003 as a full time teller.
I love my job and most of my customers. However, I retired and went to Queensborough Community college from 2004-2009. I found my energy from my Physic Education class.
I believe I can do my job better than before.
