History
Brothers Tom and Louis Borders opened the first location in 1971 in Ann Arbor, MI. Then called Borders Book Shop, the company operated an 800-square-foot used book shop. In the following years, Borders expanded operations and opened new locations in different markets. In 1992, Kmart acquired the company. Kmart change the name to Borders Group when taking the company public. In 2001, Borders partnered with Amazon to provide customers online shopping for a vast array of books and DVDs. I am going to apply online for the inventory process team member position at Borders. I would like to know more about what my day to day duties would be for this job. I just want to make sure it is right for me. Also what type of hours does this position hold and what is the pay like?
I want to work at Borders as either a cashier or a book seller. I’m an avid reader of huge novels, memoirs, historical fiction, and survival stories, I think I could help sell books for sure. This site is incorrect in stating that you can be 16. Due to the nature of some of the items that are sold at borders you would need to be 18 years of age or older.
