Eckerd was a large pharmacy and drugstore company founded in 1898. By the late 1990s, the company had major competition from Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid. In 2004, Eckerd’s pharmacy business was partially sold to CVS. As of 2007, Rite Aid acquired and re-branded all Eckerd Pharmacies.
Rite Aid is an enormous drugstore chain which earns nearly $25 billion in annual sales. Rite Aid’s merchandise ranges from drinks and snacks to bandages and pharmacy medication. Between former Eckerd employees and regular Rite Aid workers, the company employs nearly 100,000 workers. Traded on the NSYE and several other exchanges under the call sign RAD, Rite Aid is hiring new workers all the time.
While Eckerd is not presently hiring workers in full-time careers or part-time vacancies, interested applicants still have job options. Workers are capable of finding employment with Rite Aid.
