Job Duties
Psychiatric technicians care for patients with mental imbalances and emotional disturbances. Psych techs provide care according to doctor’s instructions or hospital procedure. Typically, psychiatric technicians monitor patients for physical and emotional well-being, and report their findings to the medical staff. Psychiatric technicians may even assist in rehabilitation or treatment programs.
