How to Answer the Question:
No matter where you’re applying, learning is a lifelong process. The interviewer does not want to hear that you’re relieved to be out of school because it could indicate that you’ll be difficult to train or correct if you make a mistake. Your answer should not involve personal reasons either way, but should instead focus on how you can continue to stay qualified for the position you have begun the hiring process for.
Be honest during the entire job interview. State that you are finished and currently done with school if you are. However, be sure to mention you would consider continuing your education if encouraged by an employer. If you’re still in school, be careful about your response. Don’t tell them you only need the job until you graduate or are planning on going to another city for college. If you plan to work for them after you graduate, however, be sure to tell them how enthusiastic you are about working there and that their organization will help you accomplish your long-term career plans.
