Job Interview Question & Answer: Are You Willing to Relocate? |
How to Answer the Question:
Answer this question honestly. This may be a question where the employer is trying to learn about your personal life or simply determine your loyalty. Be prepared to answer this question in any job interview and discuss your ability to move openly. Let the interviewer know you are ready to go, if you can. Always appear to be a go-getter in the interview process, unless you would be telling an outright lie.
Don’t say you will relocate if you are unwilling or unable to do so or you have a family whose perspective you need to consider. Honestly describe the hindrances you would face during a move for the company. Only refuse relocation if there is no possible way for you to go, but explain the reasons you would have to turn their offer down. The right reasons for staying may be the answer they were looking for to determine your loyalty.
