Job Interview Question & Answer: Do You Have Any Responsibilities That Might Prevent You from Meeting Your Specified Work Schedule? |
How to Answer the Question:
You must answer honestly about your personal life if you choose to discuss it. You don’t have to provide much detail, but you should alert your potential employer about any commitments which may interfere with your work. Tell your employer you attend religious services thrice weekly without discussing particular religions. Tell your employer you have to pick your child up from school every Wednesday if you need to do this.
Don’t lie about commitments during a job interview then expect your employer to alter the schedule to fit your life. If you told the interviewer during the hiring process you were free or commitments then make a fuss over scheduling your first week, you probably won’t make it out of training. Don’t reveal unnecessary personal information at a job interview.
