Job Interview Question & Answer: Do You Need Additional Training?

How to Answer the Question:

Be honest. Lying about this won’t get you anywhere. It is perfectly all right to let your potential employer know during an interview that you might need some additional training. The job interview is not only set up to give the employer an idea of who you are, but also what training and specific skill sets you have, which might include ones you don’t have.

Don’t be shy when asked this question at any time during the hiring process. Instead, try to think of it as an opportunity to expand your qualifications and add to your skill set. More often than not, companies provide paid training and will be more than happy to assist you in gaining the skill set you need in order to carry out job duties effectively and efficiently as long as you are already qualified for the position for which you are applying.

When i get asked this question I always tell the truth. If I don’t need additional training I will say no and If I do I will be honest and say yes and then explain that I am a fast learner. It always seems to do good in my favor.
