Job Interview Question & Answer: Do You Work Better In A Team Or Alone?

How to Answer the Question:

While it might not be an easy question to answer, this question does come up in job interviews quite often. The wrong answer might make or break your chance for employment depending on the company, so it’s a good idea to have thought about this one beforehand.

As always, make sure your answers are tailored to the job you are seeking. The hiring process is supposed to be about you, the company, and your future together. In this situation, that’s why you want to examine the type of work you might be doing and talk specifically about it in your answer. Saying, “It depends,” in this situation is all right, as long as you address both scenarios, but always accent the positives and make sure all answers are professional.

While i do enjoy the freedoms of working alone, i do believe working in a team can accomplish more, in overall productivity.

(but simplify it if you don’t usually use big words. Using an advanced vocabulary among the common vernacular of your daily life can show intelligence, but if not careful can lead to a feeling of smugness.)

    1. Some job needs concentration. It is better work alone.
    2. If the team is good and sincere. Then work as team will produce a best job.

i can work both , alone or team work. i can work alone without supervision by using my initiative . working with a team with supervision and suggestions with other associates is much better.

98% of the time they are looking for TEAM. they want to know that you work well with others and you dont mind working together to meet a common goal. when i interview people i am looking for an answer such as “i love working in a team, its always easier to work with someone to meet a goal or get new ideas to solve a problem, but i work just as well alone”
