Job Interview Question & Answer: Have You Ever Had Trouble with a Boss, Co-worker, or Customer? |
How to Answer the Question:
You never want to answer this question unless it is asked. Giving this information without being asked shows your interpersonal issues. Never give answers where you blame the boss, a co-worker, or a customer. Do not lay blame. Do not lie and say this never happens to you.
Explain a situation and what happened. Be as neutral or positive as possible in this response. Talk only about interpersonal issues you resolved functionally and without argument. Discuss a time you and your boss worked together to overcome a problem the company faced or a customer issue you worked with another employee to resolve to the benefit of both the customer and the company. Take this chance to describe how well you work with others to overcome adversity.
