Job Interview Question & Answer: How Would You Describe Your Work Style?

How to Answer the Question:

This is not the point in your job interview to talk about what style of management you prefer or the type of people you like to work with. Don’t discuss those things in the hiring process. Don’t tell the boss you like to spend an hour getting things prepared before beginning any actual work. Don’t reveal your personal work issues to the interviewer.

Talk about your ability to complete tasks and follow guidelines. Mention specifics about projects you completed or teams you led successfully in other jobs. Discuss your ability to adapt to new and exciting endeavors. Stay positive and focus on examples where you shine as a quality employee. Your goal is to convince interviewers you can efficiently devote your time to completing the tasks you are assigned.
