Job Interview Question & Answer: Tell Me About A Time You Resolved A Conflict

How to Answer the Question:

In your response, stay career-oriented and only provide an example of conflict resolution on the job. Describe the situation and how you were able to resolve it. If you struggle to think of an example, remember even the smallest dispute may be adequate. Discuss conflict resolution focusing around coworkers or customers, but if you have little experience or are fresh out of school, consider discussing conflicts arising while working on group projects in college.

Do not discuss conflicts with family members, significant others, friends, or any other non-business relationships during a job interview. Avoid mentioning conflicts with employers or managers during the hiring process. Only discuss disputes resolved between others; never discuss conflicts you were involved in.

I resolved my conflict with my guy colleague though my manager that if he ever touch me again at outside of the bank I will slap him. In the bank I just push his hand to confirm my request not to touch me. And if my manager needs me to provide a lawyer I am happy to do. My manager won’t take this matter in his hand any more. I believe the camera saved my job.
