Job Interview Question & Answer: What Motivates You To Do Your Best on the Job? |

How to Answer the Question:
This is a trick question. The end result should always be your answer. A well-completed job is the only motivation many work assignments offer. During a job interview, you want to let interviewers know you are self-motivated and self-reliant when it comes to completing your work. Utilize business examples about work you completed successfully with little or no supervision.
Do not discuss salary, benefits, or other compensation-related motivations. This worries interviewers during the hiring process, and there are many more appropriate instances to discuss these items during a job interview. Do not talk about your need for constant supervision or your inability to stay motivated for any significant period of time at work. Keep your answers short and business related.
