Jackson Hewitt and Liberty Tax Service are both run by Mr. Hewitt and friends. Both firms abuse their minimum wage tax preparers, whose only tax education is a 15 hour course. These firms, while paying their basically untrained employees the lowest wages in the USA, charge the highest fees in the county to their clients.
Capitalism gone awry.
If I’m applying for a job with Jackson Hewitt as a tax preparer, what kind of experience and skills set will I need to provide? Also, are they open year-round or only during tax time?
