Major hardware store companies, like The Home Depot and Lowe’s, recently announced plans to add tens of thousands of seasonal employees nationwide. The Home Depot plans to hire 70,000 new employees in the first part of 2012, including sales associates, lot associates, cashiers, general warehouse associates, and workers for many other entry-level job titles. Lowe’s stores plan to offer 40,000 jobs in the spring of 2012, with available positions in all 50 states. Both hardware store chains began posting job listings online in early 2012. Lowe’s and The Home Depot will continue to post more seasonal jobs and hire new employees throughout the spring and into the summer months.
