November 1st, 2010 at 4:10 pmHi ia am a 45 year old married male looking to drive as a proffesional truck driver in America, I have 25 years trucking expericance and have had a life long dream to work in America. I am in the process of applying for my working Visa and would like to know if you can be of assistance or can refer me to someone that can assist me. I have been with my current company for 16 years and do 24000km per month as a solo driver on a dedicated route. I live & work in South Africa.
How & where can i get my visa forms and help in completing them.
Temporary Worker – No I-797
To obtain a visa permitting a traveler to be employed while in the U.S.:
A U.S. employer must file a petition (I-129) in the U.S. to authorize employment for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS).
If the petition is approved, the USCIS will forward the “Notice of Action/Approval” (Form I-797) to the employer.
The employer will then forward the Form I-797 to you.
Without an approved petition Form I-797 a visa cannot be processed.

December 11th, 2010 at 12:50 pmI love to road trips, so why not land a job where i do just that and get paid to do it. I would like to get my CDL and drive for Koch Trucking because it seems like a wonderful company to work for, but I am a woman and I am afraid I will not be able to get a Driver job considering that position goes mostly to men. Does anyone know if I stand a chance?
