I am interested in being a customer service representative for Labor Ready. I do however need some type of medical insurance. Does anyone know if Labor Ready offers their employees any medical benefits. If they do Labor Finders would be the greatest company on earth. I am going to fill out an application and see where it takes me!

  7. C. J.:

Be aware! I’ve worked for Labor Ready as an inside CSR for many years and I’m looking for other job options at other companies then I’ll give my notice.
    1. LOWEST PAY IN THE INDUSTRY on both sides of the counter, as a temp – $7.25 only, inside staff – $9-11, and raises are few and extremely low!
    2. HORRIBLE HOURS- CSR works 5:30am to lunch and next day may work lunch to close depending on the office you’re at 6:30 to 8pm. Weekends Saturdays and sometimes Sundays
    3. NO PROMOTIONS WITHIN- they will not move you from CSR to a manager unless you have a very good sales background.
    4. Working enviroment- terrible.. by yourself most of the time working with criminals and homeless people showing up at office with you at 5:30 to wait for a job to come in. As a guy I even get scared on occasions when I can’t find work for some very desperate people. Or close at night paying out workers late. Common to have threats. Not worth it for $9-$11.
    5. Managers are really the sales people out in the field, hardly ever in the office so a CSR is responsible for running the offices entirely by oneself most of the times! High pressure environment, answering phones, filling orders and interviewing applicants all at the same time PLUS audits on your work expecting top performances. You always feel under the gun and very stressed.
    6. UPPER MANAGEMENT IS A JOKE – District Managers rarely come around but they call you asking questions about your managers, seem to want you to give up the dirt on your mgs, always seem to be looking for their faults. Who would want a mgr job in that scenario?
Pros – Labor Ready is owned by Trueblue large company, have some benefits but not worth it!
