History / Background Information:

McDonald’s Corporation is a world-wide large series of hamburger fast food eateries. In 1940 2 brothers by the name of Richard and Maurice McDonald developed the company in San Bernardino, California. Their main focus was to use a speede service system. Speede was McDonald’s first mascot which was a man with a chef hat on top of a head that looked like a hamburger. In later years Ronald McDonald who is a clown with puffed out legs replaced Speede. In 1961, McDonald’s was defined as a Drive Inn Restaurant. Also in 1961 McDonald’s developed a logo of a double overlapping M.

The first McDonald’s eateries opened in 11 countries some of them including Costa Rica, Japan, Germany and the United States. McDonald’s has more than 32,000 restaurant locations. Since the company extended over the world, McDonald’s has expanded the American life. Currently, McDonald’s makes over 22 billion dollars in revenue annually. Also the company employs more than a whooping number of 400,000 people.

McDonald’s mainly sells a number of cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, french fries, breakfast items, soft drinks and desserts. Since McDonald was told they were the major reason for human obesity, McDonald’s then added more healthy items including fruit, salads and wraps. McDonald’s food is so great that 47 million customer eat there daily.
