What are the benefits for being in the National Guard? What kind of health insurance do they have? Does it cover your whole family?

I’m pretty sure you can’t wear make up during training… Ugh, who would want to since you’re sweating all the time?! But my question is, can you wear make up when you’re overseas? Is there even any way to get it?

I would love to join the National Guard to fight and serve my country. I do have a question though. I heard it is better to join after college. Once I graduated, when I enlist would I still have to go to boot camp? Also would I automatically hold the rank of an Officer?
