History
In 1963, Charles Tandy, owner of Tandy Corporation, purchased RadioShack, a leading distributor of electronic parts and products to radio hobbyists and do-it-yourselfers worldwide. Responding to the rising popularity of computers, RadioShack introduced the first mass-produced personal computer in 1977. Opposed to do-it-yourself computer building, the TRS-80 microcomputer sold as a complete, fully wired home computer. The TRS-80 became a success and the company faced overwhelming customer demand for the product. Feeding off the success, the company continued to grow steadily with new locations opening each year. By 2000, Tandy Corporation changed names to RadioShack and streamlined operations to better serve the retail electronics consumer. RadioShack offers convenient neighborhood stores with friendly, knowledgeable sales associates.

In 2003, RadioShack unveiled the StreetSentz website in order to offer parents easy access to important information. In addition to an online resource, RadioShack raises awareness for the cause through numerous in-stores efforts. Every RadioShack places posters of local missing children on prominent display in the window or at the checkout counter. The retailer also distributes free Child ID Kits to customers and frequently hosts Child ID days in stores.

I have a lot of experience with electronics I was in the military for communications. I would really enjoy working at Radioshack. Does anyone know if they offer their employees and discounts on their merchandise? If so that would be so awesome. I think I am going to fill out a Radioshack application now.
