At other stores, retail sales associates may perform additional duties, such as completing transactions, processing returns, performing inventory functions, and wrapping gifts. Regardless of employer, retail sales associates depend on product knowledge and memorization. Paid training sessions provide an introduction to store policy and job duties at most retail stores.
