Sheetz is a chain of combination gas station and convenience stores. Their approach to service is fast-paced and includes their now infamous Made-To-Order kitchen, offering menu items like hot dogs, subs, hamburgers, and specialty drinks customers can order while their gas is pumping. Sheetz got its start in Altoona, Pennsylvania in 1952 when a man named Bob Sheetz bought one of his father’s five dairy stores and turned it into a convenience store. By 1983, the company had grown to over 100 stores and was quickly becoming one of the fastest growing chains in America. Today, the company is still privately owned by the Sheetz family and takes in nearly $4 billion in annual revenues.
