How to Get a Job at Adidas
A global icon in the footwear industry, Adidas offers hundreds of unique shoes for just about any sport or activity. Products sell out of countless shoe stores, sporting goods retailers, and official company retail locations. Based out of Germany, the major shoe manufacturer employs more than 45,000 workers, with numerous career areas like retail, sales, marketing, customer service, and supply chain.
Typical Interview Formats
Each Adidas location offers careers for multiple part-time and full-time employees. To hire new associates, Adidas stores conduct frequent job interviews. Eligible applicants may be invited to one-on-one, group, and panel interviews. Regardless of the format, expect to discuss the Adidas brand at length as well as the position in question. Many Adidas stores are very selective, hiring the best brand representatives possible. Applicants must use the job interview to demonstrate what qualities they can bring to the company.
Common Topics Covered
Job interviews at Adidas feature fairly standard questions for the retail industry. Applicants should expect to talk about availability, previous employment, previous customer service experience, and topics related to the job. Due to the heavy selling nature of Adidas stores, interviewers often require that applicants demonstrate their sales abilities. Common exercises include persuading the interviewer to purchase an object like a pen or some other kind of office product.
Customer Service and Personal Interests
Adidas looks for team members that can promote the brand through courteous and knowledgeable service. Applicants must demonstrate more than a passing interest in shoes, fashion, or sports. Problem-solving is another essential skill for Adidas job hopefuls. Customers buy shoes from Adidas for a number of activities, so workers must try to find the best product for the occasion. Interviewees should be fans of Adidas and keep up-to-date on the newest additions to the brand’s lineup.

For sure you should look at some sample interview questions! I’m not about any other positions, but I had an interview for sales associate and most of the time, the first question they ask you is “So why don’t you tell me a little bit about yourself”. Remember to stay relaxed and tell the truth because they can tell when your lying. Also, try to make yourself stand out because chances are, they have heard many more interviews and you want to make sure they remember you! As far as dressing goes, I recommend dressing nice… but not too nice. I wore slacks and a button on blouse and flats. I recommend this because you don’t want them to think your lazy… and I think being a little over dressed is better than being under dressed! Good Luck!
