Aeropostale Sales Associate Interview Video
Video Transcript
Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Aeropostale Sales Associate: I was a sales associate. A lot of it is folding clothes and doing redesigns with the floor layout; they change about every week. Customers, working the cash register, after closing cleaning, and locking up.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Aeropostale Sales Associate: Very fast – very fast because it’s a popular clothing store. A lot of girls come in. Things get messy quick. You’ll fold five, ten, fifteen shirts, and you’re folding them right back in two minutes. People mess it up quick.
Interviewer: What was your favorite part about working there?
Aeropostale Sales Associate: The hectic environment, constantly being on the go, and the cash registers.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Aeropostale Sales Associate: They give you the application, you fill it out, then you take it back in, you give it to them, and you schedule an interview no matter. Sometimes they’ll do another one. For me it was a group interview, so it was kind of different for me. That’s how that Aeropostale did it. I’m not sure if that’s how they all did it.
Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Aeropostale Sales Associate: She would ask things, like, “Do you have kids?”, probably for availability and your time frames. Really normal things, like making conversation and getting to know you and see what you are as a person and human being.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Aeropostale Sales Associate: If you like fast paced, clothes, and girls, then I guess you’ll like it.

I’m thinking about going to Aeropostale tomorrow & asking for an application. I want to make a good first impression from the start. Any tips on how my appearance should be or how I should dress exactly ?
