Hiring process information for an interview at ALDO
International shoe retailer ALDO offers part-time, full-time, and seasonal employment opportunities. Job openings regularly post to the company website, and applicants submit resumes year-round. Previous retail experience proves a must for managers and always benefits potential sales associates during the hiring process. Many employees cite dressing fashionably as one of the most important factors in gaining employment consideration at the renowned shoe retailer. Beyond practicing the latest fashion trends, potential team members must also understand the ALDO brand in order to meet sales quotas. Store managers generally contact applicants to schedule an interview within a day or two of submitting candidacy requests.
Interview Process Overview
Applicants may face multiple Interviews at ALDO ranging from informal sessions lasting five minutes to more intensive job interviews upwards of 30 minutes. The scheduled meetings usually involve store managers and take the form of question-and-answer volleys.
ALDO job hopefuls should prepare to discuss fashion, job history, and availability at each interview. Store managers may also pose some brand trivia to gauge potential worker knowledge of the retailer.
Possible Interview Questions
Applicants should anticipate some of the following inquiries: "Are you willing to work longer than your scheduled shift at times?" and "Why do you think you are qualified to work at ALDO?" Job candidates should remain professional and conversational during the interview and exhibit inviting and persuasive qualities.
Job Offers and Follow Ups
Outstanding candidates sometimes secure employment at the end of the first interview. Thank the ALDO store manager for the time to interview at the end of the meeting and follow up in a few days to check on hiring status if immediate employment is not guaranteed.

Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
ALDO Employee: It’s a very relaxing, very calm environment. I enjoyed working there. Most of the people were very kind. The staff was very friendly, so you made new friends, and it was a nice place to work.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
ALDO Employee: I filled out an application. I left it there. Since I was a seasonal employee, I also had to do a phone interview, so I just went in for a small interview.
Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
ALDO Employee: Why I want to apply, why I would like to work there, and if I have any experience – that was important since I was a seasonal applicant. That was basically most of the questions.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
ALDO Employee: Go in very clean, very well-groomed, dressed very nicely. They like people that are dressed professional. If you tell them you buy their shoes, they’ll also really like you as an employee. So, represent them as a company.
