ARCO Interview Questions & Tips

ARCO Interview Process Overview

ARCO gas stations frequently interview candidates to fill entry-level and professional job titles. Applicants who perform well during job interviews often land customer service, management, or even corporate careers. Depending on the anticipated position, the hiring process may include phone screening, 1:1 interviews, and panel sessions. Entry-level applicants typically sit through no more than one meeting before starting work with the fuel company.

How to Get a Job at ARCO

Some cashier associates cite hiring managers conducting walk-in interviews and extending hiring offers within several hours of receiving employment requests. Upper-level candidates may experience extended employment procedures and attend multiple interviews before receiving intent-to-hire notifications. While the interview process varies by job title and location management, most applicants should expect to field questions regarding customer service, teamwork, and employment background.

Preparation and Dress

Job seekers should wear business-casual clothing in preparation for customer service job interviews. Make comfortable eye contact with interviewers during the meeting and listen to questions intently. Remain calm and attempt to respond to inquiries in a clear and succinct manner. Applicants who do not receive job offers at the end of the meeting should contact the hiring manager via telephone several days after the final interview to check on employment status.

ARCO Interview Questions

Applicants may respond to standard questions like: "How would you describe ideal customer service?", "Tell me about a time you worked on a team to accomplish a task; what role did you play?" and "What qualifies you to work for this company?"

ARCO Team Member Interview Video

Video Transcript

Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
ARCO Employee: I was a team member at ARCO. Pretty much just cleaning and restocking everything. Wasn’t really allowed working at the register, because I can’t sell cigarettes. I was underage at the time.

Interviewer: Please describe a typical day as an employee.
ARCO Employee: Come in, you clock in, basically start mopping, making sure there are hot dogs in the rotator and food is stocked. Look at the inventory and see if you need to order anything else. That’s pretty much it.

Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
ARCO Employee: Submit an application. I believe I submitted it online. Then, get a call back for an interview. You go for the interview, and I think it took them about a month to get back to me. Closer to two, probably. And, started working for a while.

Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
ARCO Employee: They really wanted to see if you weren’t going to steal from them. Making sure you can handle counting money. I think they asked me a few questions about previous cleaning environments, making sure that I know how to use a mop. I’m not really sure what the purpose of the questions were, but just that general area.

Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
ARCO Employee: Just make sure you’re honest with them. People can really tell when you’re lying. If you’re just starting to work there, do your job. It should go pretty smoothly.
