Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Carl’s Jr. Crew Member: My job title was a crew member. So, I did cashiering sometimes, but if they needed help grabbing things out of the frye, or cutting vegetables and stuff, I did that. So, I did a little bit of everything, but mostly cashiering.

Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Carl’s Jr. Crew Member: It was pretty smooth. I had to turn in my application. Then, they called me back for a quick interview. It was really casual, because I was really young. It was helpful. They just asked me what I’d done before and if I had any experience in a kitchen, which I did, so they liked that.

Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Carl’s Jr. Crew Member: They asked if I had any experience in that working enviroment, like in a kitchen. They asked if I was dedicated and why I was motivated to do that job.

Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Carl’s Jr. Crew Member: I would say make sure you’re fast on your feet and you are well with directions, and really pay attention, because you have to be quick. Because people want their orders fast, so make sure you’re on your toes.

Carl’s Jr. Cashier: It was friendly. It was busy, of course, and I feel like it was supportive. I feel like it was a community of people working together; we communicated. We all had to be in contact, like, “Give me that order,” or, “Is it ready yet?” They don’t want, “I forgot to put it on the conveyor belt.” Just very communicative.

Carl’s Jr. Cashier: I was recommended by someone, so the interview process was different, because it was a recommendation. It was more like I applied, then I got the recommendation. They recommended me, I applied, and then they interviewed me.

Carl’s Jr. Cashier: Why was I interested in working, where had I worked before, my experience, how I managed pressure and conflict.

Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Carl’s Jr. Cashier: To go to work each day with positive thoughts and to smile a lot, because once you smile, and you’re friendly to the customers, your day goes by better.
