Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Chick-fil-A Manager: I was a manager there. Counting drawers, making sure things went smoothly, and other basic manager duties.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Chick-fil-A Manager: Everyone was really nice. Everyone participated just fine. Everyone was glad to be there, which is always really nice. Everyone worked hard. It was a really good job.
Interviewer: What was your favorite part about working there?
Chick-fil-A Manager: Free food, and people there that I still talk to, which is nice, and it was actually a really good experience being in a manager position, and gave me the other side of what I’m usually used to.
Interviewer: Please describe a typical day as an employee.
Chick-fil-A Manager: I’d come in, and we have this duty sheet. Fill that out with the employees names to do throughout the night, then usually I’d work the front counter, which is really important for customer service, and periodically throughout the night I would go back, have to count the drawers, and at the end of the night close out the day on the computer, do the change deposit, make sure all the drawers were even, and make the store was clean.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Chick-fil-A Manager: I filled out a normal application. A standard application, and I actually got called the next day. They just asked me to come and talk to them, and basically got hired on the spot.
Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Chick-fil-A Manager: A lot of situational questions. How I would react basically if I’d been in certain situations before I can to give specifics, but just situational questions. It was pretty good for an interview.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Chick-fil-A Manager: The enthusiastic smile. That was one of their big things, was always smile. Politeness, just standard stuff like that.
