Comfort Inn Interview Questions & Tips

Submitting Applications and Beginning the Interview Process

Comfort Inn operates as one of the most recognizable hotel chains in the hospitality industry, with more than 2,000 locations across the world. A part of Choice Hotels International, the lodging chain employs thousands of associates and continuously interviews applicants for various entry-level and more advanced employment opportunities. Job seekers mainly interact with Choice Hotels International before participating in job interviews. Workers should submit resumes and all other necessary employment materials to the appropriate personnel to initiate the hiring process.

What to Expect in a Comfort Inn Interview

Almost every job candidate undergoes a one-on-one interview with a hotel manager. Comfort Inn officials look for applicants who possess the best qualities for working in the hospitality industry. Interview questions mainly revolve around providing good customer service and communicating with coworkers. Additional questions may be used to monitor the accountability and responsibility of applicants, especially in regard to the position desired.

Additional Steps in the Hiring Process

The Comfort Inn hiring process often requires more than just a single job interview. After the first one-on-one session, applicants may then be asked to participate in a background investigation, drug screening, and skills assessment specific to the job. Travel may be required for certain jobs, though Choice Hotels usually compensates such arrangements. Virtually all new-hires work through probationary periods, which ranges between 60 and 90 days.

How to Get a Job at Comfort Inn

Comfort Inn applicants may make several preparations for the company job interview. For example, dressing properly helps the applicant show responsibility and excellent judgment. Comfort Inn job hopefuls should also work on nonverbal communication techniques, including listening and attentiveness, eye contact, and posture. Applicants should ask about the best methods to stay in touch with managers regarding hiring statuses after the interview. Contact should remain steady yet not too frequent. A single email or phone call to hiring representatives remains suitable for most jobs.

    Constance G:

I have not as yet had an interview with Comfort Inn. This will be my first time applying for the housekeeping position. Most asked questions are “Where do I see myself in 10 years from now?” My answer would be “I do not plan my life by year or month”. My goal is to make Comfort Inn a better place for the guest to stay and keep learning. So I would have to say in 10 years I would like to still be learning. Thank you for your time.
