In most cases, every hopeful submits an application for a Retail Staff position. This catch-all title refers to any job at that store location, which means that when you apply for a GameStop job you’re applying for all available positions.

Also, keep in mind there are a few GameStop requirements to take note of before filling out an application. Since GameStop appeals to many young hopefuls, these applicants often ask a variation of “Does GameStop hire at 16?”, “Does GameStop hire 17-year-olds?” and more generally, “You need to be how old to work at GameStop?” Remember that the GameStop hiring age is 18.

How do I fill out a GameStop Application

The GameStop career site allows job seekers to browse available positions and apply online. If possible, filling out a GameStop job application at the store may speed up the process and give candidates a chance to meet with GameStop hiring managers. Gather all relevant information such as past employers, contacts, and availability to save time before starting the application.

How Long is the GameStop Hiring Process?

There is often a gap in time between applying for the job and landing a GameStop interview. Successful applicants cite the hiring process taking anywhere from a day to a couple of weeks, though this depends on location. Other factors that could impact how long the process takes include how busy the store is, the number of other applicants, your availability, and if you apply close to a major holiday.

Benefits of Working at GameStop

Another important question hopefuls ask is, “Do GameStop employees get benefits?” Thankfully, GameStop careers offer many employee benefits. Eligible associates receive store discounts, paid training, medical insurance, and dental insurance. Depending on full-time or part-time status, a few other GameStop job benefits include:

  • Flexible schedules

You could. Try to catch up a little on current stuff, and make sure you are friendly. Game advisors need to be able to advise customers on games and consoles, and know the market to make sure they don’t get overcharged

Even if I am a 16 year old with no previous job experience but lots of video game and console system knowledge will I be able to apply?
