Research the Company
During Haagen-Dazs interviews, the ice cream chain inquires about what applicants already know about the company. Specific interview questions range from, "What can you tell me about Haagen-Dazs?" to, "Why do you want to work here?" The typical hiring session takes about 15 minutes and includes the above questions and other interrogations into work history, personal interests, and ability to carry out responsibilities of the position desired. Applicants should conduct considerable research on the company prior to participating in the interview process. Though brief and often informal, the interview process closely examines applicant knowledge of services provided and overall history of the ice cream chain.
Prepare for Certain Questions
Prospective Haagen-Dazs employees might also encounter off-topic interview questions during the hiring process. Managerial staff may ask about favorite flavors of ice cream, favorite movies, or other impersonal but inquisitive and personality revealing interview topics. Provide genuine answers to interview questions at all times. Honesty and well-rounded individuals most often receive job offers over other candidates. The hiring process generally concludes without a formal offer of employment. Successful applicants typically wait up to a week to hear back from the presiding hiring managers regarding final deliberations.

Video Transcript
Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Haagen Daz Cashier: I was a scooper/cashier. My primary duties were to ring people up and serve them ice cream.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Haagen Daz Cashier: It was small shop inside a mall, there were only 3 other employees and a manager. We all knew each other on a very personal level. Some of them are still my friends. It was a great environment. Grew close to people, met people, new people every day at the mall. It was awesome.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Haagen Daz Cashier: I knew the manager of the location. She let me know when there was a hiring and I just walked in and gave them my resume. They call me the next day. It was a 15 minute interview. It was basically just questions to like scale you of like how friendly you are and how you can talk to people. They asked me silly questions like what is your favorite movie, what type of ice cream do you like the best.
Interviewer: What should an applicant wear to the interview?
Haagen Daz Cashier: I dressed up with jeans and a button out shirt and I think that’s basically like standard that they are looking for. They are definitely not looking for somebody in a suit because that’s just going above and beyond and that might show that you are like too much of a serious person.
Interviewer: How were you notified that you received the job?
Haagen Daz Cashier: They actually called me within an hour letting me know I was the last interviews that they were doing for the job and they called me like an hour after I finished interviewing and they are like hey congratulations, you got the job.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Haagen Daz Cashier: They did also asked me for references that they were supposed to call, just have a good list of names that people would vouched for you. They never do call them but they are just like give me two references off the top of your head that we could call and talk to them about you.
