HoneyBaked Ham Prep Cook Interview Video
Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Honey Baked Ham Prep Cook: I would be prep cook. Pretty much, I assemble all the hot sauces and the food before opening. Make sure the product doesn’t run out or anything like that. Just make sure there’s pretty much a constant supply of product.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Honey Baked Ham Prep Cook: The overall atmosphere there is pretty friendly. It’s a pretty small atmosphere, it’s pretty laidback. They’re generally smaller stores. There are a lot of people working there, but my managers were pretty cool, pretty understanding about everything. So, the atmosphere was pretty laidback there.
Interviewer: Please describe a typical day as an employee.
Honey Baked Ham Prep Cook: Pretty much, we get a prep sheet that tells us what we need to stay on track of for the day, as far as how much product we need based on sales. Then, we pretty much go and keep that going throughout the day. Sometimes, it takes most of the day. That’s pretty much a general day, between that and making sure that everything stays on track.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Honey Baked Ham Prep Cook: It’s a fairly casual interview process. There is a drug screening and then there is an assessment. It’s fairly easy, though, not too complex, and I believe I had three interviews for the job.
Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Honey Baked Ham Prep Cook: More or less how much of a team player you are, and just general questions like that. Pretty much the typical interview questions – where you see yourself and things like that. Stuff you would typically see in a normal interview. There wasn’t much different about it than a normal interview.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Honey Baked Ham Prep Cook: Be honest, be straight up with them, and just be who you are, and that’ll come out in the end.
