How to Use the ToysRus Website to Join the Toys R Us Team
Go to the Toys R Us website: www.toysrus.com.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and find the “ABOUT US” section. Click the “Careers” link.
Next, you will be taken to the “Working for Toys R Us, Inc.” page. There, you will find links to pages for corporate and regional office positions, store management jobs, distribution management opportunities, full-time and part-time hourly store jobs, and hourly distribution center positions.
Select your desired area of employment.
After that, select the state where you wish to apply.
You are then taken to the Toys R Us job search page. You may filter your job search results by job field and location. Select the job field and location in which you wish to work and click “Show Criteria.”
Next, you will see a list of job results. Click on a job you would like to apply for.
The next page is a job description for the selected position. The page includes a job summary, with a list of responsibilities and qualifications. Read through the job description, then click “Apply Online.”
Next, you will be prompted to type in a user name and password. If you have not previously created an account with Toys R Us, click “Create an Account” to set up an account.
After you create an account, you will be sent to the Toys R Us Privacy Agreement. Read through the agreement and click “I Accept” if you wish to continue with the application process.
You will then be taken to a screen where you may upload a resume or CV. A resume is not a requirement, but it may differentiate you from the competition. To move on, click “Save and Continue.”
Next, you will be prompted to fill out your personal information. The application requires first and last name, street address, address, phone number, email address, and social security number. You will also need to answer several pre-screening questions. Fill out your personal information and click “Save and Continue.”
Next, you will be taken to a screen asking you to fill out a Tax Credit Screening. Click “Complete Tax Credit Survey” to continue.
You will then be taken to a questionnaire section. The questionnaire requires you name, social security number, address, and birthdate. Once filled out, click “Next.”
At the next screen, you will need to fill out a brief tax credit screening questionnaire. Complete the questionnaire and click “Next.”
Answer the question on the following screen and click “Next.”
You will then be taken back to the original Tax Credit Screening page. Click “Save and Continue” to move on.
At the next page, you will need to fill out your work availability. List your availability and then click “Save and Continue.”
Next, you will be asked about past work experience. List your most recent employer, job title, start and end dates, and reason for leaving. Once completed, click “Save and Continue.”
At the next page, list your furthest education level, then click “Save and Continue.”
At the next screen, you will be asked several pre-qualification questions. Answers the questions and click “Save and Continue.”
Next, you will need to fill out a number of questions specific to the job you are applying for. Answer the questions honestly, then click “Save and Continue.”
Next, you will be taken to the second part of the pre-qualification screening series. These questions will cover your relevant job skills. The test comprises of about 60 questions, and Toy R Us gives you 55 minutes to complete it. Please allow yourself sufficient time before moving on. If you are ready to take the questionnaire, click the “Complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaire” hyperlink.
You will be taken to the pre-qualification questionnaire and given 55 minutes. Fill out the answers honestly and to the best of your ability.
After finishing the questionnaire, you will be directed back to the pre-questionnaire questions screen. Click “Save and Continue.”
Next, you will be directed to the diversity section and will need to answer several questions regarding ethnicity. Select your answers, then click “Save and Continue.”
You will then be taken to the eSignature page. Read through the statements listed on the screen. Once you have read through the statements, fill out your full name as the esignature and list a unique identifier, which is the first four digits of your social security number followed by your zip code. Click “Save and Continue.”
You may then review a summary of the information you provided. Click submit to send your application to Toys R Us.
You will then reach a page that tells you the process is completed. You have finished the Toys R Us application form and should wait to be contacted by a Toys R Us hiring manager.
