Kangaroo Express Sales Associate Job Description & Interview
Job Description and Duties
What Does a Kangaroo Express Sales Associate Do?
An entry-level job, Kangaroo Express sales associates operate and maintain thousands of gas stations and convenience stores across the Southeastern United States. Sales associates mainly perform customer service duties for travelers, both day and night.
Experience Not Necessary
On any given day, a sales associate may run the cash register, ring up purchases, clean areas of the store, restock shelves, count register tills, and perform any opening or closing responsibilities. Due to the sale of cigarettes and alcohol Kangaroo Express managers prefer to hire workers at least 18-years old. Previous retail or convenience store experience may not prove wholly necessary, but could improve hiring potential.
Salary and Compensation
How Much Do They Get Paid?
Most sales associates at Kangaroo Express start at minimum wage. However, experienced staff members may see wages increase to around $8.00 or $9.00 an hour. In addition to pay, sales associates with Kangaroo Express may take advantage of company-wide job benefits.
Do All Kangaroo Express Employees Receive Benefits?
Eligibility requirements largely depend on employment status, position, and amount of time spent with the company. Some popular benefits one may expect from Kangaroo Express include general health, vision, and dental plans. Basic, supplemental, and dependent insurance plans also exist.
Other Opportunities
For peace of mind, Kangaroo Express employees receive annual vacation time, paid holidays, and even retirement programs. The large network of gas station locations provides a wide pool of employment opportunities for Kangaroo Express applicants to choose from throughout areas served.
