Kmart Stock Associate Interview Video
Video Transcript
Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Kmart Stock Associate: My job title at Kmart was we had to straighten up shelves, and if somebody needed a carry-out, they would go to the front desk – we would get a tracking order, go to the back, get the object, take it to the car.
Interviewer: What was your favorite part about working there?
Kmart Stock Associate: My favorite part was working with my friends. So, on break we would all go to the lounge and talk to each other.
Interviewer: Please describe a typical day as an employee.
Kmart Stock Associate: Typical day, we would go in, clock in. Really, we wouldn’t have to do anything; we just had to walk up and down the aisle, straighten it up, if the labels are missing, replace the labels. If somebody needed a carry-out… Other than that, we would just be walking around the store.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Kmart Stock Associate: The application was over the computer. For the interview, I had both a one-on-one interview and a group interview.
Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Kmart Stock Associate: Did we like to work in a faster environment or a slower pace? Were we able to be good to customers, and stuff like that.
Interviewer: What set you apart from other candidates?
Kmart Stock Associate: I was answering all their questions, and after our interview, they made us go through this training thing, too. Then, they had to do another interview to see if we actually learned it the first time. And some of them couldn’t do it, so that’s why I got the job. Some of the other ones got it, but some of them didn’t.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Kmart Stock Associate: Do your work when you’re supposed to do the work. When you’re applying, don’t lie on the application, when you do the questionnaire. Like I said, don’t lie because the job is very easy. All you have to do is stay on top of your job. You won’t have any problems.
