How to Get a Job at Krispy Kreme
Nailing the Krispy Kreme interview represents the final step in getting a job with the renowned doughnut maker and retailer. Consistently described as straightforward and uncomplicated, the interview process typically includes up to three rounds of interviews covering topics such as work history, availability, and relevant skills. The precise number of job interviews conducted largely depends on the type of position for hire. The company also varies the formats of interviews, using slightly different methods of interaction for entry-level, managerial, and corporate job seekers.
Entry-level Experience
Entry-level applicants generally experience a speedy hiring process when interviewing with Krispy Kreme. The popular doughnut shop chain typically uses just one interview session to hire for team member positions and similar job titles in-store. The typical fomrat consists of a 1:1 meeting with store managers, and focuses on candidate work ethics and schedule availability.
Common Entry-level Interview Questions
Queries like, "What matters more: the quality of Krispy Kreme food products or the quality of service?" test applicant knowledge of serving customers. In addition, Krispy Kreme hiring managers may ask about hobbies and interests in order to gauge the personalities of potential employees. The company frequently hires entry-level associates within a week of interviewing.
Supervisor Jobs
For more advanced positions, Krispy Kreme often kicks off the interview process with a routine phone interview. The initial phone screening usually involves a brief discussion of applicant strengths and weaknesses, reasons for pursuing employment, and other basic qualifications. The company often waits as long as a few weeks after the introductory phone interview before contacting selected candidates to schedule onsite interviews.
Management Interview Questions
Often hosted by a panel of Krispy Kreme hiring representatives, face-to-face interview sessions mostly incorporate behavioral questions about common customer service situations as well as technical questions related to specific aspects of the position. Krispy Kreme interviewers also gain insight into the personality and thought process of applicants by using such queries as: "If you were a candy bar, which one would you be and why?" Job seekers in contention for management positions or corporate careers usually participate in as many as three separate interviews.Appearance Matters
Regardless of the position desired, all candidates for Krispy Kreme jobs should arrive in appropriate dress. Business-casual attire remains sufficient for entry-level interviewees, while career seekers should consider wearing something more formal.
Ask Questions
Additionally, applicants should prepare questions to ask the Krispy Kreme interviewer at the end of the meeting. This action demonstrates interest in the job, especially when inquiring about subjects like company culture, advancement opportunities, and training process. During the interview, try to answer questions in a way that shows how personal skills match the job requirements. Remember to thank the hiring manager for the opportunity at the end of each interview.

Krispy Kreme Cashier: Well, my job title was cashier but I also would do back help and make donuts. I would also do drive through.
Interviewer: Please describe a typical day as an employee.
Krispy Kreme Cashier: Everyday was something different. Some days I do drive through, some days I upfront, some days I do lobby, like sweeping, picking up trash or going … if customers were there sitting down, I will go and ask them do they need anything else, do they want more coffee or they like extra donuts or anything. So yeah.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Krispy Kreme Cashier: They were paper applications. Actually, I had a friend that was working there. She told me that they were hiring. I go and I fill out an application. I actually did an interview right after I filled out the application because I guess they really needed help then. They basically asked me how did I hear about the job, what position would I like, the hours that I would be able to work, have I ever worked in the franchise before. What was my favorite donut if I had to choose a donut, coffee. They ask you what food have you all eaten from there before.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Krispy Kreme Cashier: If you really love, you go and you get those donuts and you would want to be in the business of making donuts, donuts, I love them. If you love donuts, get a job there.
