Logan’s Roadhouse Waitress: First, I was a busgirl, then I was a waitress. I would bus the tables when the patrons were done eating. I would clear their plates, as well as, check up on if they needed any more drinks, while the waitresses were helping with another table. When I was a waitress, I would take the food orders, bring them the bucket of peanuts, and stuff like that. Just check up on them to make sure they have an overall pleasant experience.

Logan’s Roadhouse Waitress: Very friendly. It’s very country and southern. One of the perks of going customers love is, they get a bucket of peanuts and they can throw them on the floor, so it’s very hospitable. Lots of country music playing. Everyone was super friendly. I really didn’t know a lot about steak until I started working there, and I learned a lot. The food is really good.

Logan’s Roadhouse Waitress: The application was online, and then I followed up with the manager at the branch. They called me back. I was very persistent, because I did kind of start working during a slow point, but they were very exciting and welcoming. The orientation process wasn’t too long.

Logan’s Roadhouse Waitress: If I had previous experience. The one thing I will say is, that was my first serving job, and they were really excited about not having that experience. It’s really hard to get a waitressing job, because they want you to have that experience, and they were really cool about teaching me the skills that I would need later on.

Logan’s Roadhouse Waitress: I filled out an application and within 48 hours they had called me back for an interview. I came in for one interview with the manager, and then I had a second interview with the regional manager. Probably within two weeks of filling out my application, I had my first orientation, and within a couple of days, I started my first day.

Logan’s Roadhouse Waitress: Be open to country music. Be able to think fast on your feet. Read up on steak. They give you a whole packet, and a lot of people don’t read it, but you really need to know what food you’re serving, because one thing they ask, “Cut down the center.” They’re very particular about their steaks. There’s probably like 25 different kinds they serve, and they want you to be knowledgeable on that. You will have that person who will come in, who’ll kind of almost test you on your knowledge about that, so you need to be able to think quick on your feet.
