Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Moe’s Southwest Grill Line Worker: I was the line worker. When people came in, I would yell, “Welcome to Moe’s,” and I would take their order. Then, I would put the burrito together, the salad together down the line and then I would pour on queso for them if they wanted it. Basically just make their food.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Moe’s Southwest Grill Line Worker: It was really busy because everybody loves Moe’s. Sometimes we’d have lines out the door. I especially like on Sundays and Saturday nights, instead of … it was a little bit stressful at times but it was fun. It was fun. Even though it was busy, it was fun because it was a lot of teamwork. It was enjoyable.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Moe’s Southwest Grill Line Worker: I put in my application there in the summer, then I got a callback from the manager. He asked me to come in for an interview. He asked me questions like how did I work well with others and how did I come through with conflict with others, because with Moe’s, it’s all about the team atmosphere. If you can’t work well with others, it doesn’t really work. Once I got hired, I had two training days where there was a full staff and then I was just there learning how to train with other people. That’s how I learned and after those two training days, I was put on the line.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Moe’s Southwest Grill Line Worker: You work hard but the time goes fast when you work there. I still am really good friends with a lot of people that work at Moe’s. It’s probably my favorite job that I’ve ever had.
