Video Transcript
Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Neiman Marcus Employee: So, when I worked there, I worked in the shoe department, and pretty much it’s go in the back, get sizes for people. Just basic.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Neiman Marcus Employee: Well, it’s Neiman, so it kind of has a bunch of different departments. The work environment was mostly just women coming in – men, too – just ask for sizes, opinions on shoes.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Neiman Marcus Employee: So, I did it through online, their website. I submitted my resume and a cover letter. I was contacted shortly after through email and then a phone call.
Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Neiman Marcus Employee: They asked me questions mostly about my previous experiences. Just if I’m familiar with retail and shoes, just the department itself – Neiman, the brand.
Interviewer: What set you apart from other candidates?
Neiman Marcus Employee: Probably just my previous experience in retail. I did work for a retail line prior. It was a smaller company. I just had a lot of experience prior.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Neiman Marcus Employee: Just to expect high-end clients mostly, and it’s kind of demanding at some points, but it is fun. Just have low expectations.
