Once again, Job-Applications.com is proud to announce a new college scholarship program designed to help students pursuing higher education. For this scholarship opportunity, we are restricting entries to Ohio residents only. Since we’re based in Canton, OH, we feel compelled to offer support to college students from our home state.

Requirements: 600 to 1000 word essay on the following prompt: What’s your take on the current economic climate in Ohio and how does that affect your career choice and future goals?


Eligibility: The Ohio Resident College Scholarship Award Program is open to any person who:

  1. Is a full or part-time student who is in an accredited U.S. post-secondary educational institution (including, but not limited to, college, university or trade school, or similarly accredited program) with a current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher at that institution; and
  2. Is a legal resident of the United States of America; and
  3. Is a legal resident of the State of Ohio; and
  4. Is currently enrolled and furthering his or her education at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution or program; and
  5. Is eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of applying; and
  6. Completes and submits the official Application form within the relevant periods for the periodic scholarships to be awarded.

    Official Rules for Job-Applications.com Ohio Resident College $1000 Scholarship Award Program

    1. ELIGIBILITY: The Job-Applications.com Ohio Student Scholarships Program is open to any person who:

    1. Is a full or part-time student who is in an accredited U.S. post-secondary educational institution (including, but not limited to, college, university or trade school, or similarly accredited program) with a current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher at that institution; and
    2. Is a legal resident of the United States of America; and
    3. Is a legal resident of the State of Ohio; and
    4. Is currently enrolled and furthering his or her education at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution or program; and
    5. Is eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of applying; and
    6. Completes and submits the official Application form within the relevant periods for the periodic scholarships to be awarded.

    Employees of Job-Applications.com (“Sponsor”), its divisions, affiliates, subsidiaries, their law firms, accountants, program administrators, promotional or marketing agencies, and their immediate family members (parent, child, sibling and spouse) and persons living in the same households of each such employee (whether related or not) are not eligible.

    2. HOW TO APPLY: For each Application Period, Job-Applications.com will offer a specified number of scholarships. Upon completing and submitting the official Application form during the applicable Application Period, you will be automatically entered in the Scholarship. To apply go to: https://job-applications.com/ohio-scholarship/ and fully complete the “Application Form.” When you apply, you will be automatically entered in the Scholarship for the applicable Application Period.

    An Application and/or entry will be declared withdrawn and void only by the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address used to apply.

    Potential winners may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that he or she meets the eligibility requirements for this Scholarship and is the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address associated with a winning application.
    Any attempt to obtain multiple applications by using different or multiple e-mail addresses, identities, log-ins, automatic entry software or any other method is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
    In the event of a dispute, the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address used to apply will be determined to be the applicant.

    3. APPLICATION PERIODS. Essay is due by TBA. Winner will be chosen on TBA.

    4. SCHOLARSHIPS: The specified scholarships will be awarded for each Application Period as then constituted following the end of the Application Period. The odds of winning a scholarship depend upon the total number of eligible Applications received. All potential scholarship winners will receive a scholarship notification by email to the email address indicated on his or her Application form. The potential winners must reply to the Scholarship Administrator at [email protected] within seven (7) business days of the date on the email notification. Any potential winner who cannot be contacted by email within seven (7) business days of the first attempt at notification will be disqualified and the scholarship will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate applicant from the same Application Period. In order to receive the scholarship, any winner will be required to complete an Affidavit verifying their eligibility and (where permitted by law) a liability and publicity release. Winners may also be required to provide verification of school enrollment at the time of notification. If the Affidavit – fully and properly executed by the potential winner – is not returned to the Administrator within fourteen (14) business days of the date on the notification, or the potential winner is found to be ineligible, or the potential winner does not comply with these Official Rules, the scholarship will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. No substitution for or transfer of any scholarship. Undeliverable or unclaimed scholarships will be deemed ineligible and awarded to an alternate eligible applicant. A potential winner who is disqualified for any reason will not be entitled to any form of compensation.

    A check for $1,000 will be mailed to each winner within fourteen (14) business days of winner verification. Federal, state, and local taxes and any expenses relating to the acceptance and use of a scholarship are the responsibility of the individual winners. A 1099 tax form reflecting the total value of the scholarship will be sent to all winners.

    5. PRIVACY: Your participation in this Scholarship constitutes your consent for Sponsor and Administrator to use your personal information only for the purpose of administering the Scholarship, awarding the scholarships and any corresponding reporting responsibility to taxing authorities.     6. GENERAL: All entries (i.e., Applications) are subject to verification prior to awarding a scholarship. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Sponsor and Administrator and their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from all and any injury, damage, loss, expense, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity arising out of or relating to this Scholarship and the scholarship won, even if caused by the negligence of Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Scholarship-related materials; for lost, stolen, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or postage-due mail, or for transactions that are lost or fail to enter the processing system, are processed, reported, or transmitted late, or are lost for any reason including computer, telephone, paper, or any other malfunction including human error. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of receipt of Application and/or entry. The date and time of receipt of an Application shall be determined by the official clock on the website. Submitted materials become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By entering, you accept and agree to these rules and the decisions of Sponsor and Administrator which shall be final and binding in all respects relating to this Scholarship.

    7. INTERNET: If for any reason the Internet portion of the Scholarship is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor or its affiliates that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Scholarship, Sponsor, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Scholarship and to disqualify any individual who tampers with the application process.

    If the Scholarship is cancelled for any reason before completion of any pending Application Period, all Applications received up to the point of termination will be included in a random drawing to award the remaining scholarships. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications-line failure, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of applications. Sponsor is not responsible or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software, or for failure of any e-mail or application to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof – including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Scholarship.

    8. WINNER’S LIST: For any Application Period, each winner’s first initial, last name, city and state will be provided upon request. For the names of the winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Administrator at 6363 Promway Ave, North Canton, OH 44720 no later than 180 days after the end of the applicable Application Period.
