Regal Entertainment Group currently owns and manages all theaters in the chain. Sister companies of Regal Cinemas include Edwards Theatres and United Artists Theatres. Each Regal Cinemas movie theater features many employees, such as ushers, projectionists, concession attendants, and shift managers. Fortunately for job seekers, the movie theater company frequently hires new team members for these positions.
Preparing for the Interview Process
Interviewing for Regal Cinemas employment remains a fairly simple affair. Usually, an applicant participates in a one-on-one question and answer interview with a theater manager or shift supervisor. Interviewees should attend the Regal Cinemas interview properly dressed and presentable. Business attire may be acceptable for both men and women. Avoid wearing jeans or tennis shoes. Instead, opt for khakis, slacks, a dress, and formal shoes. Candidates should also mentally prepare for the interview by reviewing previous job skills or employment history. Applicants may also want to research Regal Cinemas and learn the number of locations and services offered.
Questions and Topics to Expect
Regal Cinemas interviews contain both traditional and industry-specific questions. Availability is very important to Regal Cinemas when hiring new workers. Many locations stay open late, so employees must be willing to work until as late as 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning, on occasion. Regal jobs require extensive customer service and interaction. Interview questions try to gauge an applicant's social skills and verbal abilities. The interview also provides individuals with more detailed information about the job, such as the most common responsibilities, work environment, time commitments, and duties.

Regal Cinemas Concessions Worker Interview Video
Video Transcript
Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Regal Cinemas Concessions Worker: Well, I worked at concession, so that basically meant that I sold the popcorn. I got everyone their drinks. I did all the candy, and we also had a bunch of food and stuff like that. Regal just made this new program where they’re doing, like, burgers and fries and calamari and stuff. They were actually pretty good.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Regal Cinemas Concessions Worker: The work environment was really nice. All of the people there that I worked with were all really nice people. It was very structured, but overall it was just a pleasant place to work, I’d say.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Regal Cinemas Concessions Worker: Well, the application was straightforward at best. You had to fill out an application online. I also went in and I dropped off my resume with one of the managers. About a week later or so they gave me a call and I went in for a training. That was basically, like, a couple hours where they just went through everything that we would really need to know to be able to work in concessions. They went over the computer system and all of that sort of stuff, and that was basically it.
Interviewer: What should an applicant wear to the interview?
Regal Cinemas Concessions Worker: Well, I mean, just … it’s a normal interview, basically. Just dress, look presentable, look nice. I mean, I wouldn’t go all out with the full suit type of deal, but maybe just a button-up shirt and some slacks or something like that would work.
Interviewer: How were you notified that you received the job?
Regal Cinemas Concessions Worker: After the interview, I believe they just called me up and they said, “Hey, we saw your application. We talked with the people about your interview and we think that you would be well-qualified to work here.”
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Regal Cinemas Concessions Worker: Just be sure that you’re comfortable working on your feet, because you’re going to be standing up for a long, long time, but it’s a really fairly simple job that you have to do, and it’s … I don’t know. It’s rewarding. It’s like an interesting place to work. I mean, working in a movie theater, it’s like you see a lot of people and you get to talk to a lot of people and stuff, so it was a nice job.
