Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
T Mobile Sales Associate: My job title is sales associate. It’s a sales rep. What I do, I sell, pretty much, the service and phones. I pretty much do everything. I’m a key carrier, so I can open the store or I can close the store. I make deposits. That’s opening and closing shift. During the day, I’m just selling, talking to customers, asking questions, selling phones, or selling the service, or whatever it is.

Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
T Mobile Sales Associate: Well, it’s pretty cool, because here, since it’s a college town, it’s pretty much … The only person that’s not a college student is my manager. It’s just pretty much my classmates. I got real close with my coworkers. We go out and stuff, outside of work, so it’s a pretty cool environment.

Interviewer: What was your favorite part about working there?
T Mobile Sales Associate: The money. It’s good money, because it’s commission, so, pretty much, the work you put in is what you get.

Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
T Mobile Sales Associate: Well, okay. I applied online at a website. I gave the resume to the manager. I walked in. I gave him, like, “Here’s my resume.” He asked me some interview questions right there and then. Then that’s when he explained the training, the three week training.

Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
T Mobile Sales Associate: Did I have any selling experience? He actually made me sell him a pen. He pulled the whole thing, like, “Sell me this pen,” or whatever. What else did he do? Just basic questions. He asked me about my work schedule, if I was available for training as well.

Interviewer: How were you notified that you received the job?
T Mobile Sales Associate: It was about a week. I want to say within four days I got an email by the district manager saying I passed, as long as I passed my background check, I was fine, and then we can take it to the training process. I think about a week.

Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
T Mobile Sales Associate: Pretty much just have an open mind about it, because it could be stressful at times, but overall it’s a good job.

    i just had my telephone interview and they did just ask me basic questions, like what was a good experience that you had at work and what do you like/dislike about your current job. im just ready for my actuall interview now
