Video Transcript
Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Toys R Us Cashier: I was a seasonal worker. I worked at the cash wrap. I just scanned people’s items, checked for ID if they gave a credit card, took the cash in, gave change if needed, put the items into the bags, and that’s about it.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Toys R Us Cashier: Very nice. The staff was very caring and giving. Since I was a seasonal worker, it was a lot more hectic than it normally is. So there was a lot of people there at all times of the day and night.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Toys R Us Cashier: I saw an ad, so I went online. I filled out my application there. They called me. I did an interview, and I got the job at the interview.
Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Toys R Us Cashier: They wanted to know my hours, see how flexible I was, just a little background information on me. To be honest, the interview wasn’t too long… very quick. That’s about it.
Interviewer: What set you apart from other candidates?
Toys R Us Cashier: I’m not sure, but I think that fact that I was available mainly, because they just needed people to work for the season.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Toys R Us Cashier: Be able to stay on your feet for a while, because that’s what you’re going to do at the cash wrap even if you’re on the floor. Work long hours, because that’s what they give you. That’s about it.
