Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Toys R Us Seasonal Associate: My job title was really a warehouse person, or stock. I was a stock person. What I would do there is stock toys up for the next day, for when the store opened up. They ran out of a certain stock of toys, I would get that toy off a shelf. They have certain things in certain areas in the back; I would take that from the back and bring it to the front.

Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Toys R Us Seasonal Associate: The work environment was very nice. I worked it at night – you really don’t have that many people preparing to open the store. And everybody’s working, and it’s really nice.

Interviewer: Please describe a typical day as an employee.
Toys R Us Seasonal Associate: Typical night is the same old routine, getting ready to prepare for the store, for the next day, because it’s around Christmastime. Stores open early, and people are looking for that favorite toy. Basically, the typical day is just putting up toys in the area you need to. If they need me to do something else, I would do something else: take the toys off the skids. And, that was just a typical day.

Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Toys R Us Seasonal Associate: You have to apply online if you really want to work there. For seasonal, they had openings right there – and you fill out an application – because it was around Christmastime, and they needed all the help they can get. The interview process was good. It was basically asking you if you graduated from high school, what levels of grammar did you finish, different things – and how you found out about us, do you have a relative that works here – to that extent.

Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Toys R Us Seasonal Associate: If I can lift up to 50 pounds, how will I feel working in the back, will I get along with other people. The description of the job duty, do I have problem with it, anything. And, that was the basic things they asked me.

Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Toys R Us Seasonal Associate: If that’s really the job that you want to do, and you like working with people, being around kids and stuff, just getting along with people, that’s a good job – that’s the place to be.
