How to Apply for a Job at Victoria's Secret
On average, most job seekers fill out and turn in hiring documents in person, which allows candidates to establish rapports with managers onsite as well as potential coworkers. Obtaining a Victoria's Secret interview requires an applicant to submit contact information, availability, and work history to the company.
How long until they contact you?
If you seem like the right fit, a hiring manager will contact you to schedule an interview. Depending on the individual staffing needs of each location, stores may take as little as a couple of days and up to two weeks to contact applicants regarding open positions. A typical job hopeful applying in person experiences a turnaround rate of a few days to a week between submitting an application and hearing back from a store manager to move forward in the hiring process.
Interview Process
Group interviews
Prospective sales associates generally go through single interviews, typically in group format, to receive employment consideration. Hiring personnel may change the group interviews to one-on-one sessions with candidates if no other workers apply for the same position. The group interviews may consist of five to six applicants vying for the same role. In some cases, multiple interviews prove necessary, especially with high volumes of qualified candidates.
Manager position interviews
Aspiring store managers applying as outside candidates often meet face-to-face with district managers during the Victoria's Secret interview process. Current employees in the running for managerial positions generally meet with upper-level staff members in more relaxed and informal sessions than outside applicants.
Interview Questions
Overall, Victoria's Secret job interviews take on casual demeanors. Workers often sit at round tables and answer questions related to sales, fashion, and customer service. During the interview, the Victoria’s Secret hiring manager asks questions probing for work skills and dependability. Answer questions honestly and with confidence.
One of the most popular interview questions applicants field includes: Why do you want to work at Victoria's Secret?
Other general inquiries may include:
- "How would you define great customer service?"
- Do you consider yourself a motivated person?
- "Can you describe a positive experience you've had at one of our stores?"
Managers often respond to interview questions related to staffing, supervision, and merchandising in addition to general topics about the store and personal experiences in retail.
Questions related to the store experience
The company interview process also focuses on the experience of shopping at individual locations. Job seekers regularly answer questions about tending to patron needs and catering to the sometimes sensitive requests of shoppers.
For example, a popular interview question used during Victoria's Secret hiring sessions includes: "How would you assist someone who can't find something in their size?"
Due to the nature of the job, hiring managers often ask how candidates respond in uncomfortable situations, as workers may encounter oversharing or overly forward customers broaching sensitive or otherwise intimate subjects.
What to Wear
Workers should dress business casual for the interview. Set yourself ahead of other interview subjects by dressing entirely in black. Victoria's Secret employees wear black uniforms, and hiring managers generally favor applicants who show up at the interview looking the part.
How to Behave
In general, applicants need to demonstrate excellent fashion savvy and bright, attentive, and bubbly personalities in order to gain employment. Victoria's Secret regularly rewards candidates who exude professional attitudes and classy wardrobe selections during job interviews. Desires to help others in courteous and empathetic manners also provide applicants greater chances of receiving job offers or moving on to secondary rounds of the hiring process. Interview participants should arrive at each meeting wearing business-casual clothing, well groomed, and on time to leave lasting impressions on management. Showing personal motivations to grow with the company or affect potential work environments in positive manners also bolster odds of employment.
Victoria's Secret wants to hire enthusiastic, customer-oriented workers. Make sure to demonstrate a friendly personality and willingness to provide superior customer service for the fashion retail chain.

Victoria’s Secret Stock Associate Interview Video
Video Transcript
Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Victoria’s Secret Employee: I mostly worked in the backroom, doing stock. We’d get in shipments, and I would go sort them out, put them in their proper place. I would do replenishing; replenishing beauty products, like lip gloss and perfume and all that.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Victoria’s Secret Employee: I was pretty much on my own a lot. I didn’t work with a lot of people. I pretty much had my task, and everyone was doing their own thing out on the floor. It was pretty laid back, wasn’t too hectic.
Interviewer: What was your favorite part about working there?
Victoria’s Secret Employee: Hanging around cute girls all day and getting paid to do it.
Interviewer: Please describe a typical day as an employee.
Victoria’s Secret Employee: Walk in and ask my manager what she needs me to do. She’d tell me to go replenish or “We got a shipment, you need to go sort the stuff out, put it in its proper place.” Sometimes, I need to put up signs and stuff. Take out the trash and that kind of stuff.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Victoria’s Secret Employee: I just went in there and submitted an application. The interview… I was actually signing the tax forms to go work at Brookstone. They gave me a call and said, “Do you want to come by for an interview?” I said “I’m in the mall right now.” I was wearing the same thing right now, and I went to go interview.
Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the interview?
Victoria’s Secret Employee: She asked me about my prior experience, what do you think I would have to offer to the company. I told her I worked at HH Gregg in the warehouse, so I know backroom, stocking, putting stuff out, and how I could contribute to the company.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Victoria’s Secret Employee: Come at the right time. I know it’s all seasonal when you’re working at the mall.

I worked there for a few years. Look cute and stylish for the interview (don’t overdo it though). VS looks for polished, put-together girls, but it’s okay if you have a bit of an edge. They want personable, sharp, friendly girls who can work hard and relate to the customers. Be CALM and try to connect with the interviewer. The first interview will be a group one (mine was with like 10 other girls) so find a way to stand out without being obnoxious. Really it’s all about proving your love of the product and the customers. Don’t be fake. Honestly, bring your own unique personality and you should be fine. Just make sure that you are ready to start immediately, because if they like you they will have you on the floor within a few days.
This is a great first job, but be ready to WORK. This job can involve a lot of late nights and all of that time on your feet, sometimes dealing with very difficult customers, can be difficult. It can be a very stressful job.

I passed the first interview (group interview) last Friday. It was not hard. They staff supervisor is a GUY, yes, so guys, you can definitely go and apply for a job there! But not a sales associate 🙂 Cashier or some overnight support member’s position opens to MALE~
The group interview just had questions like, what are the three word you would choose to describe yourself. It won’t be hard, so don’t worry~
And please hope I can pass the second interview this Thursday and get the job!

I’ve been working at Victoria’s Secret for 1 year and in the group interview process, which was the only interview or anything that I had before I was hired, there were 4 of us total. The hiring manager asked us questions that were normal interview questions. She posed many questions like “If a customer did this…then what would you do?” And whenever she asked questions I was almost always the first one to answer
***If they ask you at the end of your interview “Do you have any other questions?”, ask them what the process was like for them to be manager or ask them how long it took them to be manager. The goal is to get them talking about themselves since everyone loves talking about themselves and it makes you seem interested in growing with the company and sticking with it.
Don’t wear jeans at all, just wear black and maybe 10% white like an undershirt, definitely be on your best behavior and look professional. Don’t wear uggs either, my managers don’t like it when people dress less than professional, but you could still look cute. Oh and make sure your available to work 2 of the 3 peak days (friday, saturday, and sunday) or else you probably won’t get hired.
I have an interview for Cash Wrap Lead Manager tomorrow so hopefully I do well! Good luck with everyone else and their interviews! 🙂

The age requirement for working at Victoria’s Secret is 18 or older. Wear all black to the interview. It makes a good visual for them if you look like you already work there! It’s a good plus! Make sure to look nice… style your hair, do your makeup. etc. You want to stand out!

I recently got hired.
My interview was with 4 other girls and the manager was a guy. He asked us questions and I remember the very first question was “Why do you want to work here?” The answer process was just whoever wants to answer can answer. The manager was super nice and the group that I was with was funny!
What did I dress to the interview? I wore a white collar long sleve shirt with buttons with a black pencil skirt. I have of course, black leggings with some “2-3 heels. My make-up was a natural look, try not to add crazy eye shadows or bright lip sticks. My hair was straight. But if you have natural curly hair it fine, too.
My suggestion? Be yourself. The manager will you time to answer the questions. So just say what you think the answer going to be.
Don’t be disappointed if you don’t get the done. There are plenty of opportunities out there!
Good luck to everyone who applies 🙂

I applied for Victoria’s Secret 2 weeks ago, was called back for an interview a week later, and hired 3 days after the group interview. They interviewed about 6 of us girls and I was sooo nervous. It went awesome, & it was obvious some of us were more comfortable because half of us answered the questions and the others just sat there.
You MOST DEFINATELY want to stand out so they remember you & can see you as a potential employee so DO NOT wear flip flops, jeans (especiall distressed), tank tops, or even short skirts and shorts. This shows a lack of professionalism and turns the hiring managers off. I wore all black and a black top, answered all questions confidently with poise, and always always smile. Victoria’s Secret is hardly ever hiring so at this location I went above and beyond and I got it! You won’t regret being top notch during your interview!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU GIRLS!

My sister said when she apply the group the person in charge said to take whatever in your bag or purse and try to sell it. Did anybody have to do that when they applied?
