Walmart Department Manager Interview Video

Video Transcript

Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Walmart Department Manager: I was a deli supervisor. I made sure everyone did their jobs. If anyone needed help, I would jump in and give them a hand.

Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Walmart Department Manager: Not too much different than a restaurant. You know, you just have to take proper safety precautions and wear non-slip shoes. Just practice sanitation the way you would at a restaurant.

Interviewer: Please describe a typical day as an employee.
Walmart Department Manager: Walk in, clock in, and then go back to where I need to be, and usually just wait on customers and help other people out with their jobs pretty much all day.

Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Walmart Department Manager: The application was pretty easy. Interview process was a little bit of a hassle because you had to interview two or three times. But other than that, it was fairly easy to get a job with Walmart.

Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Walmart Department Manager: The interviewer asked me where I had worked before and do I have any experience at this position. They also asked why they should accept me for this position. Pretty much they all asked regular things, I guess.

Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Walmart Department Manager: Just be yourself. Show that you’re diligent. If you’re going to an interview, show up like ten to fifteen minutes early. Treat it as if you’re working there already. Don’t be late and answer all their questions. And ask a lot of questions, too, because it lets them know you’re interested in the job.
