Video Transcript
Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
White Castle Crew Member: My job title was a team member, and I would basically work the cash register, and also the drive-thru window, and preparing food at times.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
White Castle Crew Member: I did a paper application, submitted it, and about a week later, had a callback, and I went in to interview face-to-face. And from there, I was hired.
Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
White Castle Crew Member: They want to know how I would describe myself, if I could use three words, and they also asked how well I worked with other people, and if my school schedule would conflict with work schedule. They also made sure I had transportation, made sure I would be there on time, with reliable means of transportation.
Interviewer: What set you apart from other candidates?
White Castle Crew Member: I think some of my prior work experience and also references from prior employers kind of helped me. Also, because in the interview I explained I was really willing to work, that I wanted to work on the weekends and try to get as many hours as possible, so I think that really interested them in me.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
White Castle Crew Member: I would tell them to expect a fast-paced environment but also the opportunities they have to give you. If you continue as a team member and work your way up to a manager, you have the potential to really get your franchise, your own franchise. A lot of people see it as a regular job on the side or something like that, but if you really put your time into it, a franchise is something you can actually look into.
